6: High Performance - choose one or all of the tests;

a VO2 Max test

b. Speed/Agility test

c.Muscle Strength/Power test

More information on each test is provided below.

Metabolism Testing.

Your metabolism is unique to you and determines your energy level, calorie expenditure and ability to burn fat. Having low energy or difficulty with body weight is often blamed on your food intake or exercise regime but it is more likely to be a metabolism issue or fat burning issue. Take 20 minutes to perform a metabolism test and then 25 minutes to discuss your results and receive specific strategies to put you on the pathway to improved energy, health and weight control.

Weight control is all about your metabolism.

VO2 MAX Test.

The Gold Standard in fitness testing to determine your aerobic potential is a Max VO2 test. At Quindalup Performance & Recovery, perform your Max VO2 test on a treadmill using the e-scan calorimetry system. The testing process takes around 45 minutes.

Following the test, your scores and aerobic potential explained.

An individually designed training program will be provided by our Exercise Physiologist to ensure training goals are achieved.

Posture/Gait Assessment.

Your posture and gait may be responsible for unnecessary aches, pains and existing injury. More importantly, assessing both standing posture, flexibility and gait can identify any concerns that may contribute to future injury. Specific recommendations will be provided to reduce the risks of future injury.

Hydration Testing

Being de-hydrated after training or competition will significantly affect a person’s ability to recover. Most people are not aware of their de-hydration level unless significant symptoms (head-ache, dizziness, nausea) present. Performing a simple hydration test will instantly inform you of any de-hydration and you can then rectify the issue and perform your recovery routine effectively.

Speed and Agility Testing.

Modern sport requires athletes to have high levels of speed and agility. Quindalup Performance uses electronic timing gaits to accurately measure your speed and agility to the milli-second and provide unique training using the Raptor (by Vertimax) and Wear-bands to increase your speed over one month.

Power and Strength Testing

Measuring the strength and power of different muscle groups is very important to identify weaknesses and imbalances between opposing muscle groups e.g quads and hamstrings. Quindalup Performance uses Isokinetic equipment to measure and train muscle speed and asymmetry.

The specially designed machines (Fast Twitch)allow movements to be performed at maximum speed (similar to competition speed) that ensures athletes perform quality, high speed sessions.

The equipment accurately measures the speed and power of every repetition to ensure every session produces improvement.
